Portable Evaporative Coolers

How to cool down your warehouse without building work

When the heat builds up inside a warehouse, the first instinct is usually to think of a large, expensive installation. It makes sense, but it’s rarely the fastest or most cost-effective route. In many cases you can significantly lower the temperature in the work area without touching the roof, without building work and without a huge investment. Here’s how we approach it.

The mistake of starting with the most expensive option

Many companies request a quote for fixed air conditioning, spend thousands of euros and still suffer from the heat. The reason is simple: a warehouse doesn’t behave like an office. High ceilings, doors opening constantly, hot air coming in, machinery giving off heat and a lot of surface area to cover. That’s why the solution is almost never a single huge unit, but rather getting the right type of equipment for each area.

Three levers that don’t require building work

Industrial ventilation. Moving the air is the most basic step and often the most cost-effective. It doesn’t lower the temperature on its own, but it breaks up stagnant air and improves the feeling of comfort immediately.

Portable evaporative cooling. This is the bulk of our solutions for warehouses. It cools the air through water evaporation, without refrigerant gases. It’s sized by the square metres (m²) of the area to be treated, not by the total volume of the warehouse.

Portable air conditioning. For specific, enclosed or smaller areas (an office inside the warehouse, a control room), where finer temperature control matters. Unlike evaporative cooling, it does use refrigerant gas; that’s important to know when choosing.

“No building work” for real

Installation can be minimal or even unnecessary, depending on how you decide to use the equipment. The simplest option: fill the water tank and plug it in. If you’d rather not keep an eye on the tank, it can be connected to a water supply via a hose, which means a very light installation. In most cases tap water is enough; filtered water isn’t needed.

Maintenance is straightforward: periodic cleaning so the equipment works well. Nothing complicated or costly.

Where the difference shows

The key is to tackle the heat where it matters: at the workstation. Instead of trying to cool the whole warehouse evenly —something that’s not cost-effective in an open space— we concentrate the power in the areas where people are. That way you drop the temperature right where they work, cut out the stuffiness and make the shift far more comfortable, getting the most out of each unit. Less spending, more comfort where it’s really felt.

Every warehouse is different

There’s no one-size-fits-all solution. The choice depends on the m² to be covered, the use of each area and what you actually need to solve. That’s why we assess each case individually and remotely, without you having to wait for a visit, to recommend the combination that fits best and avoid you paying for equipment you don’t need.
